Tonight.


At 7:30 PM: Sung vespers, benediction, and Te Deum in thanksgiving for benefits of the past year, at Our Lady of Lourdes.

I watched the equivalent from St Peter's this evening. There were two deacons serving and I was interested to see that, at the Magnificat, they do the same as at the Great Censing when two deacons serve in the Byzantine Rite, which is to have both of them cense symmetrically. I let out a little yelp of glee before regaining my composure and returning to my toast.

Ah! That photog is nearly archival. The church is decorated somewhat differently these days. The celebration in Rome was well orchestrated ~ as usual ~ though nothing too exceptional.
