Thank you so much for sharing this. I love the Te Deum and fail to see how anybody could suggest that the plainsong melody is anything but far superior to any other setting. Yet I enjoy the variation on it here, alternating with the organ. The Western Rite Orthodox Church in France, (which has sadly become something of a shambles), took an innovative approach to their liturgical music. They used some Russian chant but, for the most part, adapted western plainsong by increasing the tempo and harmonising it, sometimes according to the style of Russian polyphony. It sounds a strange concept but it actually works very well. Here is their adaptation of the plainsong Te Deum.

Oh, I'm glad you like it. There are more examples of the adapted plainsong here. It makes me want to move to France. :-)
