If you will choose a dedication that falls in the middle of winter, you must expect these things. ;-)
We're blessed to have ours on the 18th of July, so we can do outdoor processions and everything. Also, it never falls during Lent. Who knows, we may even stretch to a barbecue next year.
I hope it becomes a little easier oer the next couple of days.
Yes, you're lucky. Ours fell in Lent the last two years, and we've escaped it by a week this year. So far things aren't too bad actually. Only 7 inches have fallen so far, but blizzard conditions are supposed to come within an hour.
